ATTENTION: To anyone having trouble, there is a solution! Furniture does not stay when you're using the add-on nodes. It will teleport back to the main room, or delete from the room entirely. However....!!! If you press CTRL while moving an item, you can slide it into the add-on room, and the item will stay where it's slide. It does mean nothing can be put on the wall nodes, but, oh well. It's a basement. I hope my discovery helps others!!!
